Meet our 2026 Great Taste Award winners

There’s something special about seeing the work that goes into our baking recognised, whether that’s by our customers or by others across the food industry. That’s why the Great Taste Awards are always a special moment for us. Run by the Guild of Fine Food, the awards celebrate some of the very best food and drink from around the world. Every product is tasted blind by an expert judging panel, with one thing at the heart of the process: how good it tastes.

At the 2026 Great Taste Awards, we’re very proud to have received 14 awards, including five 2-Star awards and nine 1-Star awards across our breads, buns, crackers, cakes and desserts.

Meet our 2026 Great Taste Award winners

Our 2-Star winners

Five of our products were awarded 2 Stars, recognising them as outstanding.

Borough White Sourdough

A classic white sourdough made with Soil Positive flours, including heritage wheat, wholemeal spelt, rye and emmer. The blend brings extra depth of flavour, with a subtle nuttiness and gentle creaminess through the open crumb, finished with a dark, crackly, floured crust.

The judges praised its crunchy crust, open and airy crumb, and balanced sourdough flavour, as well as the depth of flavour brought by the blend of flours. They also highlighted its moist, springy texture and rustic appearance, describing it as a delicious loaf they kept coming back to.

Mixed Olive Sourdough

A thyme-infused sourdough made with wholemeal grains, including regenerative wheat, and packed with plump green and Niçoise olives. The grains bring extra depth of flavour and a softer crumb, while the olives give the loaf a rich, savoury Mediterranean character.

The judges praised its artisan appearance, excellent bake and inviting aroma, along with the generous whole olives, crisp crust and soft, chewy crumb. They described it as flavourful, well balanced and a delicious loaf that really showcases the quality of its ingredients.

Baguette

A baguette with real character, made with flours grown on regenerative farms, including heritage wheat, wholemeal spelt, wholemeal emmer and wholemeal rye. The blend brings depth and complexity, with a crisp, chewy crust and an open, tender crumb.

The judges praised its beautiful appearance, excellent colour and satisfying texture, highlighting the balance of sweetness, sourness, nuttiness and toastiness. They also noted the lactic character developed through slow fermentation, describing the result as complex, balanced and highly enjoyable.

Hazelnut Burnt Butter Financier

Rich, buttery and nutty, our Hazelnut Burnt Butter Financier gets its deep caramel notes from golden burnt butter, balanced by the crunch and flavour of roasted hazelnuts. A small but indulgent cake with a crisp exterior and soft, moist centre.

The judges praised its beautiful golden appearance, even bake and expertly balanced textures, highlighting the contrast between the crisp exterior, moist centre and crunchy hazelnuts. They also loved its rich buttery aroma and authentic hazelnut flavour, describing it as a luxurious little bite with excellent craftsmanship.

Seeded Crackers

Fragrant buttermilk crackers scattered with sea salt and seven seeds: sesame, yellow and brown linseeds, fennel, poppy, caraway and nigella. Crisp, savoury and full of warm, nutty flavour.

The judges praised their rustic artisan appearance, excellent snap and crisp, crunchy texture, as well as the generous coating of seeds and balanced flavour. They highlighted the warmth from the caraway, nigella and sesame, and the depth brought by the buttermilk, describing them as distinctive, delicious and very moreish.
